Xpander (still the most unique filters in hardware) VS and VSrack (Arturia doesn't sound the same at all)Įmax I SE rack (that NIN/Public Enemy jangle) MicroWave IIxtk (another classic from Waldorf, can sound very ugly) Pro-2 (the most flexible mono synth of all time, CV outs drive my Euro rig) Quantum (the new KING of feature sets, and sounds ridiculously good) Thorn (all Dmitry Sches plugs are good, especially Tantra)įor hardware the rig only includes things that plugs can't duplicate (yet): Waldorf Largo (dated UI but sounds like Waldorf Q etc.)

Serum (Duda really nailed this one, sounds absolutely great)Īvenger (the surprisingly good Chav synth)ĭiva / RePro (I hardly use purist analog emulations but these sound great) Although, it could be the Curtis Filters on the samplers that help.Īnyway, it’s so cool that a legend like you hangs out here sometimes. Not counting EXS24 or Kontakt, which do 95% of the heavy lifting on my stuff, my top five would probably be:Īlchemy (so deep and loads EXS24 sample maps) I was always so blown away by the hugeness of grit, yet it was so Prodigy fat. It was like war horns and machine gun leads. Downward and Fragile had those massively, trumpet like harsh sounds that seemed impossible. What are your top five? As you can tell by my username, I’m partial to your style. and a crunchiness that reminds me of an SSL G-comp Something about the motion and reverb with this synth. I think this synth is made for a sampler and heavy electronics: earlier prodigy, Noisufx and SAM and the days when you worked with Nails. I took many of the presets and made blistering and/or mangled monsters out of them. Even pointy little arpeggio patterns and single-oscillator 303 type sounds stand up loud and proud. It can really cut through a busy mix even when the sound is NOT a huge, dominating, unison / hoover dubstep blaster. They've really refined the feature set to allow very fine-grained control over the most important and aggressive aspects of the sound. I have just about every soft synth you could name and Avenger can hold its own with all of them. You can only use sharp notes (#) in note names no flat (b) half notes.Going by their marketing, preset banks, and target audience Avenger is about the last soft synth you'd think I would buy - but I got it a couple of years ago during a sale and I have to say it can sound really good, really aggressive, and really huge.

We recommend however that you do use numbers as this helps keep the files displayed in order. The only important thing is that the note name at the end (before the “.wav”) is included. Instead of using numbers at the beginning, you can also use any text that you wish. Another example would be the following octave interval:ġ_c0.wav 2_c1.wav 3_c2.wav 4_c3.wav 5_c4.wav 6_c5.wavĮvery other interval is also possible. You may choose any interval that you wish. The files must be in wav format and named in accordance with the following scheme:ġ_c0.wav 2_e0.wav 3_f#0.wav 4_c1.wav 5_e1.wav etc… Please choose the folder which contains the multisample. You do not have to use multisamples, you also can use just 1 sample, named 1 C2.wav for example. The multisamples must be in a folder, where the folder name will be the name of the multisample later. Here is the description taken from the english manual, page 19.
